Found this interesting article in a UK paper not too long ago. The story being covered is that Facebook are rolling out more seller friendly search tools, options and pages. It’s not quite eBay yet more like a Facebook/Gumtree/Freecycle hybrid, but its any step away from eBay is a step in the right direction.
Postads.com – A classified ad site, that seems to be global (?), not alot of listings at the moment and from what I found it seems to have quite alot of weird ads like “love spells” has some decent search tools, which I find lacking on other sites so that’s a plus. The sites copyright date is given is 2013 so maybe that accounts for the lack of ads?
A good alternative full of normal people seems to be the likes of forums, message boards, news groups and other social sites. There is usually a group that covers your area, area of interest or what your into. Most forums will have a dedicated section, there are some pros to this method of trading mainly not your typical eBay user, normal sane people who are generally more honest as rep is everything on a board. Today I have been looking at Reddit, it has many swap groups and now dedicated market place. I will list what I have found so far.
