Happens alot seemingly random linking up of eBay accounts, in this case we have a person who had a eBay account at one point, had buyers basically screw him with a serious of damaging chargebacks and get suspended, fast forward 2 years, his mom now signs up to eBay with her own details, her own PayPal etc. and eBay decide to link these accounts although it seems theirs nothing linking them (how/what/why we will never know). In that time there IP address and other details must have changed so how did eBay know? This raises the question :
Does this mean that if a company had 100 employees and one of them scammed on the companys IP, that every employee would have their account revoked?
Got a mail from the nice people over at BuyVCC.com, they now have a help page up with some different guides on various eBay/PayPal related matters for people who have been screwed over by the drones working the services over at eBay. Some of the topics covered accessing eBay safely, how eBay/PayPal track you and how to work around these things. Anyway take a look links below :
Interesting article about how eBay calculates your risk in different categories, I would have assumed if you risky in one area of goods that would count for all, apparently not, as with all things eBay its never straight forward.
Ran across this today a site called “Pandanger“. It’s another “get me back on eBay” type site. They deal in the fixing, creating, selling of various accounts and also sell a book/guide to help you called “eBay phoenix“. Not too sure where I stand on these things, on one hand theirs going to be abuse on the other you may have got abused by a deaf eBay/PayPal/Amazon etc. and need to get back in. They also run a free forum so you might get some good help and info in there.
The day of the week were we take a quick look at what the website traffic monitor tool thingy has thrown up. Slightly more terms than usual, I think because the sites traffic is increasing no idea why is eBay getting worse surely not :p
The 2nd lot of search strings relating to peoples problems with eBay. Again the “bad buyers” list makes its weekly appearance, it actually shows up 2/3/4 times a day now at least, shows where the problem is coming from.
